The 1st round meeting was held from January 4-5, 2003 in the
presence of National Variety Release Standing Committee, Variety Release Technical
Committee Group Leaders and Breeders of the respective crop/varieties.In the same way the
2nd round meeting was held on March 11, 2003.

The First National Agricultural Input Workshop |
On the 1st round the evaluation was on 7 crop types and 28
varieties. Among these varieties 10 were
released, 1 was provisional released, 9 were repeated and 8 varieties were decided to be
rejected.
On the 2nd round meeting the evaluation was on 7 crop types and 24 varieties. The decision was 4 varieties to be
released, 14 varieties to be repeated and 6 varieties to be rejected.
In general, in the year 2003 on 12 crop types 52 varieties were
evaluated and the national variety release committee was decided 14 varieties to be
released, 1 variety to be provisional released, 23 varieties to be repeated and 14
varieties to be rejected.
